Essence - The Gel nail polish

The first time we met on this blog I was very positive about Essence – The Gel nail polish. And today, I still am! But for all you haters out there….
Just kidding! I thought it might be useful if I show you all why it is that I’m so enthusiastic about Essence. First of all, the price is right! I don’t know about you, but I haven’t got a huge budget to buy myself a shitload of Cirque and F.U.N. Lacquer polishes. I wish I did, but really, I don’t. Of course, I save up money to get myself those sought-after brands, but if I’m honest, I also just really love shopping and love buying nail polish! Second, Essence has a pretty broad collection of colors and has something for everyone’s taste. Third and last, the quality! Many cheap brands tend to be watery and sheer, but not Essence- The Gel. This polish is opaque in as little as two coats!
In this post, I would like to share my little collection of Essence – The Gel nail polish. I’ll show you a swatch on paper so you can see the beautiful colors and judge if it is opaque enough for you!

33 Wild White Ways – White on white isn’t ideal, but I didn’t have any black paper. As you can see though, this white is pretty white and opaque. The formula is quite thick though and this is actually one of my least favorite Essence polishes.
06 Space Queen – Personally I use this one more as a shimmery/glittery top coat because of the sheer formula. This one won’t be opaque at any point, but I love it as a topper. The ligt pink is girly and cute as hell!
35 Engaged – I love the romantic feel of this color. As you can see it is slightly watery and will need two to three coats.

13 Forgive Me – This cheerful color is opaque in two coats!
67 Love Me Like You Do – I’m obsessed with this color! It is so pretty..  The purple/pink tone in it is mesmerizing and it is opaque in two coats.
12 Mandarine Bay – My favorite summer color! This cheerful coral-like color is opaque in two coats and works great with 06 Space Queen.

Mind you, these three colors are lighter on paper!
48 My Love Diary – Another favorite. This sort of “old pink” color is very romantic and opaque in two coats.
10 True Love – This pinkish red is a great color to combine with both red and pink. It’s bright and opaque in two coats.
14 Do You Speak Love? – This dark red is very classy and is also opaque in two coats.

43 Girl’s Best Friend – This silver glitter polish is great as an accent/top coat with it’s different sized flakes, or to be sponged on to make opaque.
41 Kiss Me, Freddy – I love the ice blue color with grey undertone of this one. It is somewhat watery and will probably need three coats to be opaque, unless you sponge it on. You might have seen the picture of the gradient at the top of my last post, where I used this color, in combination with 85 Wild and Free and Revlon’s Colorstay 220 Rain Forest.
85 Wild And Free – The picture doesn’t do this color justice. It’s a green color that seems a bit watery but tends to be opaque in two coats.

45 Yummiiii! – It’s hard to see the prettiness of this lovely chocolate brown color. It’s a rich color that is opaque in two coats.
28 Hello Sunshine – Now, I actually don’t like yellow, but this color just cheers me up! It looks great in summer and is opaque in two coats.

You can see each bottle at the top! (Bottles in order left to right, bottom to top)
