I promised
you the review of my second bottle of O.P.I. nail polish. As a Dutch woman, a
bottle of the Holland Collection is basically a must-have and I just LOVED
O.P.I. Kiss Me On My Tulips!
As you
might have noticed, I really like pink colors, although I don’t tend to go for
the really bright pinks. Well, I can tell you, this is one bright pink color!
Kiss Me On My Tulips is a crème hot pink that will brighten anyone’s day.
Let’s put it on my nails!
Ok, the formula is lovely, just as O.P.I.’s Down to the Core-al, but, also just like O.P.I.’s Down to the Core-al, it’s having a hard time to get opaque. The color is bright and rich, but the smile lines stay visible. Very out of character for me, I decided to go with 3 coats. Now, 3 coats will make it opaque! But do I want to use 3 coats to get it there? Not really. I’m starting to fall out of love with O.P.I. already. I really love their colors and the formula is so nice to apply, but I just hate having to put on 3 coats to get an opaque look!
Okay, as
you might have noticed I’m not one for going for simple manicures, so I got out
my stamping plates and I choose the lovely ND-005 plate from Nicole Diary. For
the stamping I decided to go with a real new true love of mine: Sally Hansen’s
Slicks and Stones. The final result? I’m in love!! I’ll get over the whole 3
coats thing for these polishes, but I’m not sure if I will be tempted to buy
another relatively expensive O.P.I. polish.
